On 12 February 2026 at 12:00 noon, registration for university-wide courses in the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year will begin. Registration for Polish and English courses will remain open until 5 March.
Participation in university-wide courses allows students to gain knowledge in various fields not directly related to their field of study and promotes general development.
Registration for classes takes place in the USOS system.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, the Nicolaus Copernicus University will once again offer competency blocks, i.e., sets of 4 to 6 thematically coherent courses, the completion of which will lead to the acquisition of interpersonal, social, personal, and digital competencies that are key in the labour market. Completion of a block is confirmed by a certificate issued before the end of the studies. Completion of a block will be confirmed by a certificate issued before the end of studies. As a competence block is just a group of selected university-wide courses, choosing one or two subjects does not obligate you to complete all of them (for the 2025/2026 academic year, it's Polish language only).
