Interest:
1. Electron microscopy (SEM, TEM) and light (LM).
2. Chemistry of materials, nanomaterials, carbon materials - synthesis, modifications and characterization.
3. Correlative microscopy (microscopy methods SEM, TEM, AFM, LM, spectroscopy methods IR, Raman, EDX, and combined techniques LM-IR, LM-Raman, SEM-EDX, TEM-EDX, TEM-EELS) in materials research, in particular nanomaterials.
Research topics:
1. Modifications and characterization of carbon materials for applications in catalysis and energy conversion/storage.
2. Stages of growth of thin layers of multiwall carbon nanotubes by a CVD method using ferrocene.
3. Quantitative EDX, IR and Raman spectroscopy. Determination of molecular organic contamination (MOC) by the IR method in clean rooms.
4. Modified activated carbons in the purification and treatment of drinking water. Purification of water from halogen derivatives.
