Department of Crystallochemistry and Biocrystallography

The research activity is mainly crystallography and protein crystallography, molecular modeling and structural biology. The protein related topics include the structure and regulation of enzymatic activity of enzymes metabolizing adenosine nucleotides, in particular NTPDases and adenylate kinases. Other research is related to the structure – activity relationships for Pt anr Ru complexes of cytostatic activity, model compounds for the selected metaloenzymes, as well as compounds used in the asymmetric organic synthesis.
